Swami Vessels Solar Pvt. Ltd. started in Jalgaon in 2017, in a state with some of India’s best solar irradiance and factories still paying ₹9 – 10 per unit for grid power.
Founder Himanshu Ingale, MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, with published research on solar cell efficiency, came back to Maharashtra to build industrial solar the way his engineering training said it should be built, not the way it’s usually sold.
Eight years and 225+ plants later: zero accidents, Tata Power’s 2023 Hero Award for Commercial & Industrial Excellence, ISO 9001/14001/45001 certification, and clients who’ve come back for a second and third plant.
World-class solar engineering and service that let’s Maharashtra’s factory owners stop worrying about energy.
To be the most reliable solar EPC in western, north-western, and south-western India.
Every promise made before the sale is honoured after it. No overcommitment.
Swami Vessels Pvt. Ltd. Solar is the solar EPC division of Swami Vessels Private Limited, a company that was building in Maharashtra’s industrial belt long before rooftop solar became part of the conversation.
In 2017, that same engineering discipline turned toward solar. Founder Himanshu Ingale saw factories across Maharashtra paying ₹9 – 10 per unit for grid power in a state with some of India’s best solar irradiance and started Swami Vessels Pvt. Ltd. Solar to fix that, the same way the parent company had always built: properly, and without shortcuts.
Eight years into the solar business and on a foundation that goes back further than that, Swami Vessels Pvt. Ltd. Solar has commissioned 225+ industrial plants with zero accidents, earned Tata Power’s 2023 Hero Award for Commercial & Industrial Excellence, and holds ISO 9001/14001/45001 certification.
Himanshu Ingale didn’t set out to become a solar contractor. He set out to understand, at the deepest technical level, how energy actually works and then to bring that understanding home.
conferences. He holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, where his graduate thesis researched how engineered surface textures at the nano-scale affect optical losses in thin-film solar cells, proving theoretically that a textured substrate can increase solar cell transmittance and short-circuit current by more than 10%. He built his entire experimental lab setup from scratch, using Arduino and open-source controllers, and his research was published and presented at academic conferences.
Before returning to India, he worked as Automation and Ideation Manager at Accel Inc. in New Albany, Ohio, a title given to him by the owner himself, where he solo-designed and programmed an in-house CNC machine, integrated PLC systems and machine vision, and built complete automated assembly lines from the ground up.
He came back to Jalgaon in 2017, not for lack of options abroad, but because he saw a specific, solvable problem: factories across Maharashtra paying extortionate electricity rates, and an industry full of installers cutting corners to win the job cheaply. He started Swami Vessels Pvt. Ltd. Solar to do it differently: full documentation, no verbal promises, no jugaad.
Eight years later: 225+ plants commissioned, 25 MWp+ installed, zero accidents, and a graduate-level engineering understanding of solar that most EPC founders in Maharashtra simply don’t have. When Himanshu talks about panel degradation, temperature coefficients, or structural load, he’s not repeating a sales script, he’s speaking from the same scientific training that shaped his thesis.
Pull quote: “I studied how solar cells lose efficiency at the nano-scale in a lab in Cincinnati. I build plants in Jalgaon the same way I built that lab: no shortcuts, no borrowed assumptions.”
